You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let w be the width.
Width = w meters
Length = 3 + 2w meters
Perimeter = 2L + 2W
42 = 2(3 + 2w) + 2w
= 6 + 4w + 2w
36 = 6w
6w = 36
w = 6 meters
Length should be quite easy to find.
