For a rational expression like this, we multiply everything by the lowest common denominator...we get
2%2F%28%28x-4%29%28x-2%29%29=1%2F%28x-4%29+%2B+2%2F%28x-2%29
which leads to (after multiplying by (x-4)(x-2))
+2+=+%28x-2%29+%2B+2%28x-4%29
+2+=+x+-+2+%2B+2x+-+8
+2+=+3x+-+10
12+=+3x
x+=+4
Notice that x = 4 is not allowed...thus there is NO SOLUTION.
