The minimum Y here is 3, so Y is equal or greater than 3.

The domain of a function are all ALLOWABLE values of x.
The range of a function are all POSSIBLE values of y.
For y = x^2 + 3, the lowest value y can ever have is when x = 0. That would be 3.
Thus the range of the function is y >= 3, or [3, infinity).
