Question 1019382: Hannah and Jacob decided to invest the same amount of money in a different savings account. Hannahs saving account grows at $10 per week and Jacobs grows half as fast.
X= # of weeks
Y= total money in savings account
Hannah: m= 1 b= 10 equation: y=1x+10
Jacob: m= 1 b=20 equation: y=1x+20x
What did I do wrong? Answer by Screamgirl(4) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hannah's equation is wrong the correct equation is y=10x because she gets $10 every week and you would have to multiply the $10 by the amount of weeks.
Jacob's correct equation is y=20x for the same reason of Hannah's but if something is half as fast of the first number you just multiply that number by 2 so in this equation 10x2=20 that's what makes it half as fast
