slope is change in y/change in x. Start from right. (-4-4)/(1-(-3))=-8/4=-2
y=-2x+b
now use point slope formula
y-y1=-2(x-x1) and you may use either point.
use the one on the right
y+4=-2(x-1) be sure to make it y+4, since you are subtracting a negative.
y=-2x+2-4, watch signs.
y=-2x-2
Check. Both ordered pairs should work
first
4=-2(-3)-2 yes.
-4=-(2)(1)-2 yes.
