Question 1014892: I'm trying to figure out how to use the equation y=mx+b to find the x and y intercepts and the slope to make coordinates and graph the line. Could you please help.
Answer by addingup(3677) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! "m" is the slope and "b" gives the y-intercept. And:
m = (y1-y2)/(x1-2)x
Now you can solve for b. Pick one of the points -you are working with two points, (x1, y1) and (x2, y2)- etc.
Can't tell you any more with the information you provided. If you have a specific problem you are working on, please post it.
