Question 846005: 1.The midpoint of LN is M(6,-3). One endpoint is L (-2,8). What is the other endpoint?
2. Find the midpoint of the segment with the enpoints: x(13,8) and y(-7,-6)
3. Find the distance between the two points. Round to the nearest tenth. A(-3,-4) B (7, 1)?
4. Find the coordinates of the midpoint of a segment with end points A(-1,3) and B (7,-1)?
5. The midpoint of a segment is (5,-8). One endpoint is (10,18). Find the other endpoint.
6. Find the distance between the points.
A(12,6) and B(-8,18)?
7.find the distance between the points.
C(6,-3) and D (-5,3)?
8. A 12 ft by 16 ft rectangular pool has a 3 feet wide concrete surface around it. What is the outer perimeter of the concrete surface.
9. Find the perimeter of a rectangle with base 12 inches and height 13 inches. Include units. (1 point formula, 1 point answer, 1 point units)?
10.find the area of a triangle with base 8 inches and height 10 inches. Include units.
(1 point formula, 1 point answer, and 1 point units)?
11. Find the distance between A(5,-15) and B(-2,13) to the nearest tenth..
Same as other with 1 point for formula, etc.
12. The midpoint of CD is (5,-11). One endpoint is C(3,5). Find the coordinates of endpoint D.
13. <1 and <2 are supplementary angles.
m<1 = 4y + 7 and m<2 =9y + 4. What is m<2?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1) Let the coordinates for N be (a,b). The coordinates of L are (-2,8).
Therefore coordinates of the mid point are: (%28a-2%29%2F2,%28b%2B8%29%2F2).
Given that coordinates of the mid-point M are (6,-3).
So, we have

%28a-2%29%2F2=6
a-2=6%2A2=12
a=12%2B2=14

%28b%2B8%29%2F2=-3
b%2B8=-3%2A2=-6
b=-6-8=-14

So the coordinates of the other end are (14, -14).

For the remaining try yourself but if you cannot then contact me with your workings. Cheers!!!
