You can put this solution on YOUR website! We know that
(1) 1 ft^3 = (1 ft)*(1 ft)*(1 ft) and
(2) 1 ft = 12 in
Therefore
(3) 1 ft^3 = (12 in)*(12 in)*(12 in) or
(4) 1 ft^3 = 12^3 in^3
But we want the reverse, so divide both sides by 12^3 to get
(5) 1/(12^3) ft^3 = (12^3)/(12^3) in^3 or
(6) 1/(12^3) ft^3 = 1 in^3 or
(7) 1 in^3 = 1/(12^3) ft^3
