    A yellow ribbon is 56 cm long. It is twice as long as a green ribbon.


    What does it mean ?

1.  It was exactly what I tried to do in my second post: to lead you step by step through the solution, in a way YOU did every step on your own.


    Where in this last my post did you see my attempt to belittle you ?

    I simply made the problem formulation shorter to facilitate your first step.

    The obvious answer to my question is "the green ribbon length is 56/2 = 28 cm."

    It is what I expected to get from you.

    To get this answer, you do not need to know Math. You simply need to understand English and to have a bit of common sense.

    With English, you are OK, judging on your writing.

3.  To your question, what I am doing in this forum and in this site.


    a)  I am 3.5+ years with this forum.

        During this time, I solved THOUSANDS problems and answered THOUSANDS requests from students.

        Among these problems, thousands were routine;

              other thousands were of regular or advanced school level, but solved, explained and presented in such a way, that the school 
              students learned the solutions from me and understood relevant parts of Math for the first time in their life from my posts;

              and hundreds other problems and posts were unique of the Math circle level.


    b)  Except of that, I am about 8 years with the site www.algebra.com .

        During this time, I wrote about 850 lessons with solutions of typical and advanced problems.

        These lessons organized in 3 (three) textbooks in Algebra-I, Algebra-II and Geometry.

        The fourth set of Pre-Algebra lessons contains several tens lessons, but they still not organized as a textbook.


        Thousands of students from USA and from other parts of the word, who speak English, read my lessons.


        So, I make real contribution and real influence on Math education in the USA and worldwide.


        Did this my response satisfy your curiosity ?

4.  From your last sentence "You have gotten answers wrong in the past."

    I make a conclusions/(a notice) for myself that


          you make a trace of my wrong answers.

           Do you ? It is interesting to me.

           Yes, during my service at this forum, I made mistakes.

           Probably, 10 of them.  May be, 9; may be 12. It is the "order of magnitude".

           Can you share your trace with me, PLEASE ?

           It is great ! - After my service at this forum, there is somebody who makes a trace of my errors !  Thank you very much !!


           So, you can not solve this simple problem, but are able to recognize and trace my mistakes ?


           There is something mysterious to me in it . . . 



5.  If you are going to discuss these issues further with me - I am ready to do it in any mode.
