The equation of a circle with center at (h,k) and radius r is:
++%28x-h%29%5E2+%2B+%28y-k%29%5E2+=+r%5E2+

Since the circle is tangent to the coordinate axes, its center is at (r,r):
+%28x-r%29%5E2+%2B+%28y-r%29%5E2+=+r%5E2+

Plugging in (x=1, y=2):
++%281-r%29%5E2+%2B+%282-r%29%5E2+=+r%5E2+
….
