Question 907266: Hi not sure how to put the answer to this inequality in interval notation.
I got [-2, INF) but this is incorrect. Help would be greatly appreciated. Found 2 solutions by josgarithmetic, MathTherapy:Answer by josgarithmetic(39618) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! This one has a restriction at x=9. THAT means you must cut the solution into TWO intervals. The inequality you have is undefined at x=9.
Further, the solution does not include x=-2, so you must use left parenthese of the curved type, not the square type.

Solving the inequality results in:
Inequality is UNDEFINED at:
Therefore, critical points are:
Test intervals: ; ; and
Thus, POSSIBLE test values are: ; ; and
Any test value that's included in any of the above imtervals, and which makes the inequality TRUE will be your answer(s).
