Question 907266: Hi not sure how to put the answer to this inequality in interval notation.

I got [-2, INF) but this is incorrect. Help would be greatly appreciated.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
This one has a restriction at x=9. THAT means you must cut the solution into TWO intervals. The inequality you have is undefined at x=9.

Further, the solution does not include x=-2, so you must use left parenthese of the curved type, not the square type.

Hi not sure how to put the answer to this inequality in interval notation.
+%28%28x%2B2%29%2F%28x-9%29%29+%3E+0+
I got [-2, INF) but this is incorrect. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Solving the inequality results in: x+%3E+-+2
Inequality is UNDEFINED at: x+=+9
Therefore, critical points are: -+2_and_9
Test intervals: x+%3C+-+2; -+2+%3C+x+%3C+9; and x+%3E+9
Thus, POSSIBLE test values are: x+=+-+3; x+=+0; and x+=+10
Any test value that's included in any of the above imtervals, and which makes the inequality TRUE will be your answer(s).
