Question 828445: Hi. I'm helping my 7th grader with homework. I haven't done pre algebra in ages. I need to solve a problem by: writing an inequality to represent each situation. Use x for the variable. Then solve the inequality, interpreting your solution in the context of the problem. So here we go. A fee of 12.50 is deducted each month from aubryns bank account. She currently has a balance of 75.00 in her account. She must maintain a balance greater than $0. Assume no deposits or withdrawals.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! What is the question?
Maybe, how many fee's worth of credit does aubryn have in the account? This would correspond to how many months this account will last.

Better to close the account or the bank will take the whole credit away, the $75, in 6 months.

Let amount of months the balance of $75 will last be x, and amount after x months, A(x).
Inequality: .
Solving this inequality results in x being 6. This means that the $75 balance will only last 6 months
before the account "runs dry."
You can do the check!!
