Question 81007: Please help solve. The problem is: Solve for x. Collect x's on the LEFT side. The solution should be presented with x first, the correct inequality symbol, then the number.
x + 4 – 8x – 1 > 3(x – 2)

My work?
x - 8x + 4 –1 ³ 3x –6

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x + 4 – 8x – 1 > 3(x – 2)
------
-7x+3 > 3x-6
-10x>-9
Now, dividing by a negative reverses the inequality: so you get:
x < 9/10
