Solve and graph the solution set. 3(x-4)>7x-9.
1- First, distribute the 3 by multiplying 3 times all terms in parenthesis.
3(x) - 3(4) > 3x-12
So, 3x-12>7x-9

2- Begin solving for x. Subtract 3x from both sides of the equation.
(3x-3x) -12>(7x-3x) -9
-12>4x-9
3- Add 9 to both sides of the equation.
-12+9>4x-9+9
-3>4x
x>-3/4
4- The graph of x>-3/4 (-0.75)looks like the following:
