Question 77974: -4>d-8
Can you help me break this down so I can understand it? I have a test tomorrow and my mind is blank. I think I go like this:
-4 -4 > d-8
then I'd have
0 > d-4
then
0x-4 < dx4 ..is this correct so far? Is that all? i think I'm supposed to draw a graph with this also.
Thanks,
Adam

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If your problem looks like this
-4%3Ed-8 and you're trying to solve for d then...

-4%2B8%3Ed%2Bcross%28-8%2B8%29 Add 8 to both sides
4%3Ed
d%3C4 Rearrange the inequality. So this is our answer. I'm not sure what you're attempting. I don't see an x anywhere in the inequality.
