When I did this I got: x >/= 1.867. But the right answer was actually: x </= 1.867... Why is it that the sign changed? I don't get it....

You can put this solution on YOUR website! You simply made a sign mistake or you forgot a rule about multiplying an inequality by a negative number. The correct answer is
First step is was divided by 2 on both sides.
And for earlier convenience a multiplication by NEGATIVE 1. NOTICE the changed direction of the the order.
