I have already tried to cross multiply it, but somehow that didn't work, since it was a fraction and I couldn't decide which side could keep the variable.

Assuming v is in the numerator

4/5v<7/15

4v*15 < 7*5

60v < 35

v < 35/60

v < 7/12

The graph will be done like so

1) draw out a number line

2) plot an open circle at 7/12 (note: 7/12 = 0.583333, so it's a little bit beyond the midpoint of 0.5)

3) shade to the left of the open circle
