Question 703726: Please help me solve this:
2x%5E3+-+x%5E2+%3E=+0
and solutions are: x = 0 or x >= 1/2
but why?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
We treat inequalities like equations, performing the same actions and using the same rules.
So2x%5E3-x%5E2%3E=0 can be factorised by finding the largest common factor the terms share.
In this case that factor isx%5E2
Hence we get
or 2x-1>=0
giving x=0 or 2x>=1, which gives x%3E=1%2F2
