You can put this solution on YOUR website!
what is the answer to 1/2(4x+6)<2x+1 graph on a number line. (< in my problem is greater than or equal to, unable to locate symbol on keyboard)
Here is what I have so far? Am I on the right track..
IF WHAT YOU TYPED ABOVE MEANT (1/2)(4X+6)...THEN WHAT YOU HAVE DONE IS OK.
2x+3<2x+1
0<4
HENCE THERE IS NO SOLUTION.
BUT WHAT YOU TYPED MEANT
1/[2(4X+6)]<2X+1...............THEN,
1/[4(X+3)]<2X+1
CASE 1 ..X+3 IS POSITIVE.....THAT IS X>-3,THEN
(1/4)<(2X+1)(X+3)=2X^2+7X+3
ETC.. WHICH GIVES A DIFFERENT SOLUTION LEADING TO QUADRATICS ETC..PLEASE CONFIRM WHETHER YOU NEED IT.
