        In his post,  @consc198 solves inequality  7-3x < 31.
        He did it  FUNDAMENTALLY  WRONG.

For correct solution to this inequality see what follows.

7 - 3x < 31.

Move 3x to the right side, changing the sign.

Move 31 to the left side, changing the sign.

You will get an equivalent inequality

    7 - 31 < 3x,

      -24 < 3x.

Divide both sides by 3

      -8 < x.

ANSWER. The solution to inequality 7-3x < 31 is the set of real numbers x > -8.

Solved correctly.

As this person, @consc198, solves simple standard Math problems, he deserves to be excluded
from everywhere of an educational community, since he is not able to teach in a right way.

"16 is less than or equal to 7-3x<31"

That mixes written english with symbol expression

As the complete inequality
16%3C=7-3x%3C31

16%3C=7-3x%3C31
9%3C=-3x%3C24
9%2F%28-3%29%3E=-3x%2F%28-3%29%3E24%2F%28-3%29
-3%3E=x%3E-8
-8%3Cx%3C=-3

In interval notation ( -8, -3 ]
