Add 4x-7 to both sides of the first inequality
Add 4x-8 to both sides of the second inequality:

4x+%3E+-1OR4x+%3C=-5

Divide both sides of both inequalities by 4

x+%3E+-1%2F4ORx+%3C=-5%2F4

x+%3E+-0.25ORx+%3C=-1.25


Graph the first inequality. We use an open circle, o, for %22%22%3C%22%22
