So we have x^2 - x > 12
Then x^2 - x - 12 > 0
(x-4)*( x+3) > 0
We know that x-4 and x+3 must have the same sign so:
When x-4 > 0,
x+3 is also > 0.

x+3 is also < 0.
The solution set is the union of all values of x that make these two pairs of inequalities true.
