Question 182140: I appreciate any help on this problem,
Solve the inquality. Express the solution using interval notation and graph the solution set.
3-|2x+4|<1
I think the answer is x>-1 but this teacher takes off points for every mistake made in getting the answer so I would like to be shown the process, too.
Thanks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3-abs%282x%2B4%29%3C1
-abs%282x%2B4%29%3C-2
abs%282x%2B4%29%3E2
Which says
2x+4>2 OR 2x+4<-2
2x>-2
x>-1
2x+4<-2
2x<-6
x<-3
So there are two large sections on the number line that satisfy this
