Question 173724: Hi,
I nedd to write an inquality to represent the following condition.
A landscaper architect wants her project to use at most 110 gallons of water per day.Each shrub requires 1 gallon of water and each tree requires 3 gallons of water per day. Let x=number of shrubs, and y=number of trees. Write an inequality that says that the plants chosen will not meet the landscapers water limit.
My answer is: x+3y<=110
Can someone let me know if this is the correct answer.
Thanks

You can put this solution on YOUR website! well, if I get what they are trying to say ,you need to write an equation that says they DIDNT meet the water limit.......to meet the water limit you want the answer you have here,
:
but for not meeting the limits we want
: in other words the plants chose are going to exceed the water limit
