You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For any numbers a and b , a#b= a + b –ab . If a#b = 0, which of the following
CANNOT be a value of b ?
(A) 2 (B) 1 (C) 0 (D) --1 (E) -3 /2

Suppose

matrix%281%2C5%2C++%22a%23b%22%2C+%22=%22%2C+a%2Bb-ab%2C+%22=%22%2C+0%29

a+-+ab+=+-b

a%281-b%29+=+-b

a+=+%28-b%29%2F%281-b%29

The denominator, 1-b cannot be zero, and it would be if b=1.

So b cannot equal 1.  Choice (B)
