Greater means toward the right on the real number line.
Less or lesser or less than means toward the left on the real number line.
-3 is less than -2.
-2 is greater than -3.

that's a tough one.
the terminology can be very confusing.
in general, the number on the right of the other number on the number line is considered the larger number, or the more positive number, or the less negative number.
