let x=Tom, so x+2=Terry ...%283%2Fx%29%2B%284%2F%28x%2B2%29%29=1 ... 3(x+2)+4(x)=(x+2)(x) ... 3x+6+4x=x^2+2x

0=x^2-5x-6 ... 0=(x-6)(x+1) ... x=6 and x=-1 ... negative value not realistic

Tom=6 and Terry=8
