Question 965979: prove that the product of any three consecutive numbers is even.
So far I have tried , (n)(n+1)(n+2)=n^3+3n^2+2n
but there is no multiple of an even number. I'm not sure what kind of proof method it is but this would be a proof with the same method. i.e prove that the sum of three consecutive odd numbers is divisible by 3 , 2n+1+2n+3+2n+5= 6n+9 3(2n+3) is a multiple of three therefore it is divisible by three.
Any help would be appreciated, hope it is not too confusing
Thanks

2) You earn 75 per/week at your new job. With every thing you sell your boss gives you 4% of the earnings. How much will you get if you sell $1000 in chairs?
3) Your total earning of one week is $125. How many chairs have you sold to earn 125$.
I have this I'm not sure if I'm on the right track.
E=75n+c E=75n+0.04c
125= 525+c 125= 525+0.04c
-525=-525. -525=-525
-400=c -400=0.04c
Check. -10,000=c
125= 525-400 Check
525+0.04 (-10,000) =125
please help
