Question 414080: solve. using the elimination method when solving the translated system.
Complementry angles are angles whose sums is 90 degrees. Their difference is 6 degrees. Find the angles.
x + y = 90
would I use (x + 6) to represent y.
x + (x + 6) = 90
2x + 6 = 90
2x + 6 - 6 = 90 - 6
2x = 84
x = 42
y = 42 + 6
y = 48
