You can put this solution on YOUR website!
In a right triangle, given a=32.8 ft and A=28degrees 30'15'',solve for b and c .
:
Convert 28 deg 30 min 15 sec to degrees
28 + 30%2F60 + 15%2F3600 ~ 28.504 deg is Angle A
:
we know
A = 28.504 deg
a = 32.8 ft
Find b, c (b will be the hypotenuse)
:
We can use the sine here, side opposite (a) over hypotenuse
:
Sin(28.504) = 32.8%2Fb
.477 = 32.8%2Fb
.477b = 32.8
b = 32.8%2F.477
b = 68.7 ft length of b
and
Use the cosine to find c (side adjacent over hypotenuse
Cos(28.504) = c%2F68.7
.879 = c%2F68.7
c = .879 * 68.7
c = 60.4 ft length of c
