Let b = number of bills
given:
(1) c+%2B+b+=+61
(2) 2c+%2B+5b+=+233
Multiply both sides of (1) by 2 and
subtract (1) from (2)
(2) 2c+%2B+5b+=+233
(1) -2c+-+2b+=+122
3b+=+111
b+=+37
and, since
c+%2B+b+=+61
c+%2B+37+=+61
c+=+24
There are 24 coins and 37 bills
