You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x=Sandy's weight
Then 209-x=White Ear's weight
Sport weighs 223-(209-x)
And we are told that Sandy and Sport weigh 216 g together, so our equation to solve is:
x+223-(209-x)=216 get rid of parens
x+223-209+x=216 simplify
2x+14=216 subtract 14 from each side
2x+14-14=216-14 collect like terms
2x=202 divide both sides by 2
x=101 g------------------------------Sandy's weight
209-x=209-101=108 g---------------------White Ear's weight
223-(209-x)=223-209+101=115 g-------------Sport's weight

CK
Sandy and White Ears:
101+108=209
209=209
White Ears and Sport:
108+115=223
223=223
Sandy and Sport:
101+115=216
216=216
