Let's translate: ""Twice the difference of a number and one"

The difference of "a number and one" is simply x-1

Now if you take "twice" of that result, you get : 2%28x-1%29

Now add "triple the number" to get 2%28x-1%29%2B3x

Since this "yields twenty less than six times the number" the complete equation looks like

2%28x-1%29%2B3x=6x-20
