No I'm afraid it isn't.  "Reciprocal of" means "one over"

Enclose every term in parentheses:

%281%2Fx%29+%2B+%281%2F%283x%29%29=%281%2F3%29

Clear of fractions:
Multiply thru by LCD = 3x  written as %28%283x%29%2F1%29



Now we cancel:



3+%2B+1+=+x

4+=+x
