Question 1153275: Dylan is planning on driving 3200 kilometers, traveling with 4 friends. The car consumes 6 liters of gas every 100 kilometers. Gasoline costs 1.10 per liter. If they split the cost of gasoline for the trip evenly, how mush will Dylan pay?
Liters used = Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Dylan is driving with 4 of his friends
So all cost should be shared equally by 5
For every 100 km gas consumed is 6 liters
So for 3200 km how much gas is consumed?
Gas consumed = (3200 * 6)/100
gas consumed = 192 liters
Each liter costs 1.10
so 192 liters costs 192 *1.10 =211.20
this has to be divide by 5
