I got the answer: y = (x-2)^2 - 9
What is the line of symmetry?
I got the answer: x = 2
Graph the function using the equation in part (1). Explain why it is not necessary to plot points to graph when using y = a (x – h)^2 + k.

d(P,R)= (under the radical sign) (2-(-4)squared + (-5-3)squared
=(2+4) squared + (-5-3)squared
=2Squared + 4squared + -5squared -3squared
=6squared + -8squared
=36+64= 100 under radical sign
Heres the midpoint; -4+2/2squared, 3+-5/2squared
= -1 and -2/5

Question 34527: I think my graph is right, but I did it by substitution.. I can't get the X-intercept to match my graph...
Graph the function f(x)= 2 * (3^x) - 5. Indicate the horizontal asymptote (which I believe is y=-5) also find the X-intercept (exact solution and then round to four decimal places.)

Question 34723: I need help. I don't know where to go from here. Okay, questions is; write and equations(a) in standard form and (b) in slope-intercept form.
Problem; through -(2, 0), Perpendicular to 8x-3y=7
This is what I came with and I don't know what to do after, if I even got this much right? y-0=3/8 (x-(-2), Y-0=3/8x+6/8...Thank you for your help.
