Question 211246: Evaluate the exponential equation for three positive values of x, three negative values of x, and at x=0. Transform the second expression into the equivalent logarithmic equation; and evaluate the logarithmic equation for three values of x that are greater than 1, three values of x that are between 0 and 1, and at x=1. Use the resulting ordered pairs to plot the graph of each function.
So for this problem there will be two lines on one graph? How do I plot the points? I'm really lost on this one and any help would be appreciated. I'd also be willing to pay a tutor for help on this! Please contact me if interested! Thanks.

Question 212735: Hi there. I need to see if I am on the right track. I need to graph the following y = -2 abs(x+1)-4. I need to construc a sequence of five graphs to get from one to another.
I am setting up my 5 graphs as follows: (1) y = abs(x) (2) y = abs(x+1)
(3) y = -2 abs (x+1) (4) y = 2 abs (x+1) and (5) y = -2 abs (x+1)-4.
Am I on the right track with the above equations?
