Demand equation. Helen's Health Food usually sells 400 can of ProPac Muscle Punch per week when the price is $55 per can. After experimenting with prices for some time. Helen has determined that the weekly demand can be found by using the equation
d=600-40p
where d is hte number ofcans and p isthe price per can.
a) WillHelen sell more or less Muscle Punch if she raises her price from $5 ?
b)What happens to her sales every time she raises her price by $1 ?
c) Graph the equation.
d) What is the maximum price hat she can charge and still sell at least one can?

2x + 2y > or equal to 6
I tried 2x + 2y - 2x > 0r equal 6 - 2x
2y > or equal -2x +6
2y div by 2 > or equal -2 + 6 div by 2
Y > or equal to -1 + 3
This is what I got, which I'm sure is wrong. Even if I'm close I don't know how to make the table. Could you please help me? Thank-You

Question 152577: Which of the following sets of values could be points on the graph of a function?
Set A
x = 6,6,6 and y = 1,2,3
Set B
x = 5,5,1/3 and y = -1,2,5
Set C
x = 1,2,3 and y = 3,4,5
Set D
x = 1,2,2 and y = 2,4,2
I think the answer is Set C based on the fact that there is a difference of 2 between x and y at the various values. Is that correct?

Question 152574: We were given a set of data points today in class. We were told to find an equation for these data points. The equation pertains to graphing so I put the question in this category. I'm studying Patters & Relationships in Algebra 2 currently. Data is the X and Y coordinates.
X........Y
610.....915
631.....946
652.....978
673.....1009
Here's what I know from looking at this:
1) The X is independent variable, Y is dependent variable.
2) It is NOT linear because there is not linear progression in the Y
The equation I think might be correct is Y=.0165*X^3
Yet I contractdict it when I plug in the actual X coordinates for example..
Y=.0165*610^3
Y=.0165*226981000
Y=3745186.5 when it should be 915? What is up with that?
Please provide me with the correct equation and tell me how you found it. Thanks!

Question 153158: Please help!!!
A ball is thrown upward with an initial speed of 50ft/sec. It's height after t seconds is given by h=50t - 16t^2.
A) What is the height of the ball after 1.3 seconds?
B) When does the ball hit the ground?
For A, the answer I worked out is 37.96 feet.
For B, I worked out 25/8 seconds = t, which doesn't seem right. Can anyone help?

Question 153188: I have a graphing question. I am new to using graphing calculators. I have worked out the super basic understanding of how to use the function portion of my TI-84 Plus. However, when I key in y1 for f(x)=x2+x=-9, and I try to graph it and/or calculate it -- I never get the correct vertex -- which is suppose to be the ordered pair of (0.5,-9.25). I've tried working this so much, I am now completely confused. I know that my parabola opens upward because of the 1 co-effient. I know that it is to be a minimum. I've tried going into where I choose to calcuate the minimum. Yet I am missing something. I have to get this, otherwise, I am not able to proceed to continue my class. This is all online.
