Solve the following system of linear inequalities by graphing.
x+2y≤3
2x-3y≤6

As the number of farms has decreased in llinios, the average size of the remianing farms has grown larger,as shown below

let x represent the number of years since 1900. Use a graphing calculator to fit a function to the data. Select the model which gives best fit. Write the equation , the coeffienct of determination, and estimate to nearest arce the average acreage in 2011. Use regression feature in calculator. This problem is really hard can anyone help me thanks

Question 115842: which of these equationss represent a vertical line?
i 2x - 3y = 6
ii 2x + 3y = 6
iii 2x = 6
iv 3y = 6
I think the answer is "iv" but that's cause i worked it out in my head. y=2. But i am not too sure how to go about proving the first 2 wrong???

Question 116010: This is not exactly what my problem is but it's the closest thing I could understand. The problem says "Coffee worth $3.75 a pound was mixed with coffee worth $4.35 a pound to produce a blend worth $4.11 a pound. How much of each kind of coffee was used to produce 40 pounds of blended coffee?" My problem is finding the equations to solve by elimination because, this seems to need 3 variables in order to be made into the first equation. Hope I explained it well enough for you to help.

Question 116265: Solve by graphing: x^2+y^2=25 and x-2y=-5
I graphed my circle and line perfectly
but when it came to using either addition or substitution methods
to find the solution set (where the line crosses the circle at two points)
I had problems:(
I can see by looking at my graph that one solution is (-5,0) and the other
is approximately (3.5, 4.5) but I have to use one of the above methods
to show how I came up with my solutions and show my work.
This is what I've done so far:
Using substitution method
x^2+y^2=25 and x-2y=-5 (changed to x=2y-5) and substituted in to 1st equation
(2y-5)^2+y^2=25
4y^2-20y+25+y^2=25
(combine like terms)
5y^2-20y+25=25
(subtract 25 from each side)
5y^2-20y=0
This is where I loose it, because in class all of our problems worked out nice and neat
and all I had to do was factor my quadratic equation to come up with one solution and
then plug that into one of my original problems to get my second.
No one in study group tonight quite got this one either and this is due this Thursday!
