Question 813747: Hello, I was wondering if you could explain how to Write the equation of a line parallel to the given line but passing through the given point.
y=-2x-4; (1,3)? so far I have Y=-2x-4; (1, 3)
m= 1, (1, 3)
y-y1=m(x-x1)
y-3=1(x-1)
y-3=x-1
y=x+4
I am not sure if I have done this right or not.
Thank you
