Question 98394: Can you help me graph this? I am new to this.
Graph the inequality:
x>-2.
Found 2 solutions by stanbon, tutorcecilia: Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Graph the inequality:
x>-2.
--------------
You need to graph the boundary which is x=-2
That is a vertical line at x=-2.
Graph it as a dashed line because it is not part of the solution.
-----------
The solution is either to the left or to the right of the boundary.
-------------
Pick a test point that is not on the boundary like (0,0)
Test is in the INEQUALITY.
0>-2
That is true.
So the half-place with (0,0) is the solution set or graph;
darken it.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! I cannot graph this in this program, but plot the following points and connect the dots:
Plot: (-2, -4) (-2, -3)(-2, 2) (-2, 0) -2, 1) (-2, 4)
Note that all of the x-values are equal to -2. This means that the graph will be a straight, vertical line that passes through x=-2. The slope is undefined.
.
Using a dashed line, connect the dots and shade everything to the right of the line.
