Y-intercept : Set x=0 and solve for y.
y=0%5E2-4%280%29%2B3
.
.
X-intercept : Set y=0 and solve for x.
0=x%5E2-4x%2B3
Add half of the %28-4%29 term squared to both sides.
4=x%5E2-4x%2B4%2B3
4=%28x-2%29%5E2%2B3
%28x-2%29%5E2=1
x-2=0+%2B-+1
Now add 2 to both sides to get the x-intercepts.
