You can put this solution on YOUR website!

I guess you are given two points that lie on a line and you need to find equation of that line

Solved by pluggable solver: Find the equation of line going through points
hahaWe are trying to find equation of form y=ax+b, where a is slope, and b is intercept, which passes through points (x1, y1) = (7, -3) and (x2, y2) = (-3, 1).
Slope a is a+=+%28y%5B2%5D-y%5B1%5D%29%2F%28x%5B2%5D-x%5B1%5D%29+=+%281--3%29%2F%28-3-7%29+=+-0.4.
Intercept is found from equation a%2Ax%5B1%5D%2Bb+=+y%5B1%5D, or -0.4%2A7+%2Bb+=+-0.2. From that,
intercept b is b=y%5B1%5D-a%2Ax%5B1%5D, or b=-3--0.4%2A7+=+-0.2.

y=(-0.4)x + (-0.2)

Your graph:

so, you have equation y=-0.4x+-0.2 and it is in slope-intercept form
and, your equation in standard form will be:
0.4x%2By=+-0.2
