You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x – 7y = 14
5x + 3y = 9
in the 2nd equation subtract -5x from both sides. 3y=-5x+9
divide 3 into both sides. y=(9-5x)/3=3-(5/3)x
replace y with 3-(5/3)x in the 1st equation. 3x-7(3-(5/3)x)=14
3x-21+(35/3)x=14
(9x/3)+(35x/3)=14+21
44x/3=35
44x=35*3
x=105/44
substitute 105/44 for y in either equation. 5(105/44)+3y=9
525/44+3y=9
3y=9-(525/44)=-129/44
y=-43/44
Glad that's over!
