Pretend the > is an equal sign. Make sure you chec your answer to make sure that the sign is pointing in the correct direction.
90>5(2r+6)
90>10r+30
subtract 30 from both sides. 60>10r
divide both sides by 10. 6>r (answer)
To check, make r=5 then 90>5(10+6) 90>5*16 90>80 All is well.
