You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How do you find the slope of:
y=-5/2x-5
-----
Slope is the value that y changes when x changes by 1.
----
f(0) = -5
----
f(1) = -5/2*1 - 5
----
Slope = change in y = f(1)-f(0) = -5/2
----
That is the slope.
---
In general, if you have an equation of the form y = mx + b,
the slope will be "m".

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

recall slope-intercept form: y=mx%2Bb where m is slope and b is y-intercept

so, when you compare y=-%285%2F2%29x-5 to y=mx%2Bb, you see that slope m=-%285%2F2%29
