Question 87879: This is my first time on this site and the problem looks easy but I am really
having the blues. Graph y=3x=4 and y=-1/3x-4 determine whether the two lines
are parallel, perpendicular ot neither. The teacher taught it this way but I am
still having a hard time with it.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I assume that there is a typo in the first equation since you have written:
y=3x=4 and it most likely should be:
y+=+3x%2B4 (Red line on the graph)
The second equation is:
y+=+-%281%2F3%29x-4 (Green line on the graph)
Graph these two equations.
graph%28400%2C300%2C-15%2C5%2C-5%2C5%2C3x%2B4%2C-%281%2F3%29x-4%29
You can determine the answers from the graph.
