we get 10x+2(5x+3)=7
10x+10x+6=7 or 20x =7-6 20x=1 orx=1/20
substituting for x in (2) we get y = 5(1/20)+3 =1/4 + 3 (1+12)/4
y=13/4
therefore the values of x& y are x=1/20 and y=13/4
