How do I graph y-2x=-4. I don't understand how I know where to put it on the graph.

It's a straight line, so you need to plot 2 points.
y-2x=-4
y = 2x - 4
Pick 2 values of x and find y, eg x = 0, y = -4 --> (0,-4)
Pick another value for x.
Plot the 2 points, draw a line thru them.
