You need to solve separately w%2B2%3E=3 and w%2B2%3C=7
w%2B2%3E=3 gives you w%3E=1.
w%2B2%3C=7 gives you w%3C=5.
The solution is the common part of the w%3E=1 and w%3C=5, thus 1%3C=w%3C=5 or w is any number in the interval [1,5].
Graphing the solution on the real number axis means the segment from 1 to 5 with closed circles at both ends because of "or equal" part of the signs.
